Under the same ownership, these two locations, the largest covered shopping outlets in the state of Kentucky, have now taken the #1 position for deployment of solar in the retail sector. Oxmoor Mall and the Mall of St. Matthews deployed a combined 1.27 MW of PV to offset lighting, heating and HVAC costs. Not just driven by financial concerns the property owner continues to follow-thru on a national commitment to transition its over 127 Malls to cleaner and more energy-efficient energy sourcing. To date, nearly 50 locations are being powered solar.
Highly complex in nature, these over 50-year-old structures with multi-level roof surfaces, concurrent re-roofing projects, multiple interconnection points, and working hour and location restrictions benefited from the extensive experience of Solar Energy Solutions’ commercial install team to navigate such complexities. Solar Energy solutions excels at large commercial projects as it brings its general construction, high voltage interconnection and electrical engineering experience to bear.
