Years of Experience
Solar Installations
Fully In-House Team

NABCEP Certified
A Fully Integrated EPC Partner
Instead of coordinating a separate designer, equipment distributor, and installation crew, an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner owns your entire project from design through startup, giving you cohesive planning, fewer delays, and a single point of accountability. What sets SES apart is that we self-perform: our engineers, procurement team, and licensed crews are all in-house, not subcontractors. As an employee-owned company building solar across the Midwest, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic since 2006, we treat every project as our own, and we travel beyond our core region for large-scale work.
Engineering
Our in-house team, including licensed Professional Engineers and a NABCEP PV Design Professional with over 20 years of PV design experience, handles system design, electrical engineering, production modeling, permitting, and utility interconnection. We engineer each system to its specific load, site, and financial goals, building in Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) and domestic content compliance from the start to protect your tax credits.
Construction
Our licensed crews self-perform installation, integration, inspection coordination, and commissioning, from commercial rooftops and ground mounts to solar canopies and multi-megawatt utility arrays. A dedicated project manager runs the job from pre-construction through startup, keeping your operations running throughout. After commissioning, we hand over a fully documented, tested system, with Preventative Maintenance and Risk Management Plans available to protect it long-term.
Proven at Scale
SES has delivered EPC projects across every commercial and institutional sector:
- Our largest to date is a 6-plus MW system at the LEGO manufacturing facility in Virginia.
- Multiple phases of ground-mount solar totaling more than 3.6 MW for Frankfort Plant Board, a Kentucky municipal utility.
- A 1.1 MW ground-mount system supplying a high school in eastern Virginia under a Power Purchase Agreement.
- Multi-megawatt rooftop arrays for national retail distribution centers, including a 5 MW system in Ohio and another in Arkansas.
EPC for Developers and Independent Power Producers
SES also serves as the EPC partner for third-party developers, IPPs, and other firms that need an experienced team to build a project they are developing. Our in-house engineering, cooperative buying power, self-performing crews, and utility-scale track record keep a developer’s project on time, on budget, and built to perform.
Build with a Partner Who Owns the Outcome
Whether you are investing in your own facility or developing a project, SES delivers the full scope under one roof. Let’s talk about what your project needs.
Operations & Maintenance
Our commitment does not end at startup. Once your workmanship warranty ends, an optional Commercial Operations & Maintenance plan keeps your system producing, protects your manufacturer warranties, and safeguards your return for decades.
