Completed in August 2019, this immaculate retirement dream home was constructed with energy efficiency and achieving the smallest carbon footprint possible in mind. No expense was spared on insulating the building, including a 10” thick concrete basement envelope, adding geothermal and radiant floor heating, and installing all triple glazed windows. The 7.9 kW SolarEdge based array was installed on the carport which was orientated to the south for maximum PV energy production, powering the home, EV, and E-bike charging.  Any excess energy is stored in a Tesla Powerwall battery so the home can be solar-powered day and night and when driving or cycling!
