81.2 kW Residential Solar Install in Paris, Kentucky

Over the past 5 years, Solar Energy Solutions has worked closely with Denali Stud in Paris KY to install and expand solar on 6 farm buildings. Many of these projects were supported by USDA REAP funding arranged by SES.

Denali Stud is globally recognized for its equine breeding with over 400 stakes horses produced, numerous of which have gone on to win lucrative races such as the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Dubai Gold Cup and Breeders Cup.

Horse stables consume significant amounts of energy for stall heating in winter or at foaling time and to provide fan cooling during the summer. In addition to four PV arrays on the ideally sloped and positioned stable roofs the farm has covered all of its office energy usage and recently added an off-grid array at a remote barn that would have been prohibitively expensive to run utility power too.
